Marcie Dodd will be playing the roll of Elphaba, the green-skinned teenager who becomes the Wicked Witch of the West. Dodd will be coming directly from the Broadway production of Wicked where she filled the role of Elphaba. This will not be her first time starring in a Wicked national tour. Helene Yorke will be filling the role of Glinda, Madame Morrible will be played by Marilyn Cakey and the Wizard is Tom McGowan.

Wicked Cast - Rondi Reed to Join in March
Rondi Reed, who won a Tony Award for her performance in August: Osage County, will join the Broadway company of Wicked in March. Reed previously played the role in the Chicago production of Wicked. She will join a cast that includes Nicole Parker as Elphaba, Alli Mauzey as Glinda, P.J. Benjamin as The Wizard, Kevin Kern as Fiyero, Alex Brightman as Boq, Cristy Candler as Nessarose and Timothy Britten Parker as Dr. Dillamond. A Steppenwolf ensemble member, Reed has also appeared Off-Broadway in Steve Martin's Picasso at the Lapin Agile and on Broadway in The Grapes of Wrath and The Rise and Fall of Little Voice.

Wicked's Lambert - Again in "American Idol" competition
Adam Lambert, who was part of the cast of the Los Angeles production of Wicked, has advanced yet again in the "American Idol" competition.
Others who have currently made the top 12 include Danny Gokey, Alexis Grace, Allison Iraheta, Kris Allen and Michael Sarver.
In addition to Wicked, Lambert has also been seen onstage in The Ten Commandments.
Among the many "American Idol" finalists and/or winners who have appeared on Broadway are Fantasia, Diana DeGarmo, Tamyra Gray, Constantine Maroulis, Frenchie Davis, Clay Aiken and Taylor Hicks.

Additional venues have been announced for the upcoming tour of Stephen Schwartz's Wicked.
As previously announced, the tour of Wicked will begin March 8 at Toronto's Canon Theatre, where it will play through April 24. Chicago's Ford Center for the Performing Arts will then host the hit musical from April 29 to June 12.
Wicked will be at Pantages Theatre, playing June 17-July 31, and is also scheduled to play San Francisco's Orpheum Theatre Aug. 4-Sept. 11.
The Denver Center for the Performing Arts' Buell Theatre will offer Wicked Sept. 15-Oct. 2; a Dallas engagement at Music Hall at Fair Park is set for Oct. 5-23.

Block, who was part of the out-of town San Francisco tryout of the musical, will play the green-faced Elphaba with Kassebaum as the golden-locked Glinda. The cast will also include David Garrison (the Wizard), Carol Kane (Madame Morrible), Derrick Williams (Fiyero), Jenna Leigh Green (Nessarose), Logan Lipton (Boq) and Timothy Britten Parker (Dr. Dillamond).
